1972 Honda CB500 Four. Complete motorcycle. Have clear title and the key. Stored since 1983 in a dry garage. This bike ran fine the last time it was used.
A very original bike. The only change is the handle bar. I do not have the original. Owned by the same person since 1981. There is surface rust and dirt. Some scratches and scuffs. The bike has never been crashed or abused. Motor turns over when kicked. There is old gas and some rust in the tank. I have not started the bike. The chrome is still very strong under the surface rust and I was able to easily get a nice shine in a few spots with steel wool and minimal effort. This bike can easily be turned into a very pretty classic bike. Please review the photos and use the zoom feature for a detailed visual description. Honda Announces More New-Model Releases For 2012
Tue, 08 Nov 2011Lost in all the hoopla surrounding the new models being released at EICMA this week, Honda has announced details about a few more models in its 2012 lineup: the CB1000R, CBR250R, Silver Wing scooter and the Ruckus, along with the cutting-edge VFR1200F that receives an infusion of impressive new technology for 2012 (which we’ll highlight in a separate blog entry). All of which are returning models from 2011. Pricing is yet to be determined.
Honda has patented a technical solution from the arsenal of the Gold Wing tourer.
Thu, 02 Apr 2020The modern Honda Gold Wing is equipped with a double wishbone front suspension, which not only increases ride comfort, but also allows the geometry of the motorcycle not to change during acceleration and braking. Lever suspension, which stabilizes the bahavior, may appear on other models of the company in the future. This is hinted at by patent images of similar systems integrated into the design of completely different motorcycles - the “classic” CB1100 and the small-capacity C125 Super Cub.
Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.
