Honda CB description

Up for bid is my 1971 Honda CB750 K1 motorcycle.  I am the second owner, having bought it in September of 1972.  (See the date on the title picture).  This bike has been carefully maintained by me for the last 44 years.  It has always been indoor stored and serviced on a regular basis through the years.

It has a new battery, and a brand new professional paint job.  It is done in the Candy Garnet Brown color that was available on the 1971 model.  Recently tuned by a longtime Honda shop mechanic. It has 26,450 miles on it and the gauge faces are NOS.

Also, included with the bike are the original owners manual, the original tool kit and the Michigan motorcycle plate from 1971.  I am also offering the shop manual and parts manual with this deal.  I  will include 5 books each detailing the workings and history of the CB 750 by Honda.  I have included a picture of all of these items.

Hard to believe it has been over 44 years since I first rode this awesome bike, time really does fly.  All of the lights light, blinkers blink and brakes brake.  Over the years I didn't ride as much as I used to, but I always fired it up and rode it a bit after a long Winter to assure that it stayed in good running order.

I have seen other CB750's sell for tens of thousand dollars and am sure they are sandcast models. This is NOT a sandcast bike, but it as clean as they come.  It is still a head turner and I still have people complimenting me on it wherever I take it.  I will list this in as is condition and wish everyone luck in the bidding.

I have the bike for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.  This listing is for pick up only, however if you want it shipped, I will work with your shipper to get it sent to you.  I also have a pickup truck and could work out a deal to bring it to the winning bidder for a price.

Honda Raises MSRP for 2013 NC700X But Lowers Price for DCT Option

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

The big news from Honda last week was the introduction of the new CTX700 and CTX700N cruisers. Flying a little under the radar however was a change to American Honda‘s pricing structure for the 2013 NC700X which sees a price increase for the base model but a price cut for combined anti-lock brakes and a dual clutch transmission Honda introduced the NC700X last year at an impressively low price of $6999 for the base model and $8999 with ABS and DCT. The low price point was one key advantage we awarded the 2012 NC700X over the $7899 Kawasaki Versys in our recent Middleweight Multi-Tool Shootout.
