Honda Other description
The Honda CB550 was a 544 cc (33.2 cu in) four-cylinder standard motorcycle made from 1974 to 1978 and was replaced in 1979 by the Honda CB650. This sale is for a 1974 Honda CB550E. Very difficult to find the E style listed anywhere. All the parts are original as far as I can verify. The bike was stored in a barn for the last 10 years. I removed the bike from storage last year, cleaned the mice nests out of the air cleaner filter, rebuilt all four carburetors, replaced all fluids and the throttle cables and it started right up. VIN# CB550 - 1200593. Engine# CB550 E – 1066266. Manufactured 6/74. Starts on first try with the kick start. Bike does need a complete tune-up but does run fine and all brakes and lights work. You can see and hear a current YouTube Video of this bike by going to the following link: Most of the chrome shows light pitting/Rust. Small dent in front fender and gas tank, and several paint chips in gas tank. Seat has one fairly large rip (See photos). Clutch works great. All brakes work. Inside of tank has very little rust. No tool kit or title included, but I will provide a Notary Bill of Sale if required. Please look carefully at all pictures before asking questions. This bike is sold as is. Payment must be made within 5 days of close of auction. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. Honda Electric Bike
Mon, 22 Dec 2008Takeo Fukui’s speech this week was a bit on the gloomy side as the company adjusted its profit forecast by 67% in the wrong direction. Slumping auto sales and a sagging U.S. dollar were the main factors for Honda’s third profit forecast cut this year.
