Yamaha YZF-R description

Selling a used 2008 Yamaha YZF-R1. Title is free and clear. The motorcycle looks and runs like new. No blemishes, no problems, runs and starts perfectly. Very low miles - 4,565. Was used primarily for work transportation (Gretna to Lincoln).

This motorcycle was always garage kept except for the winter months, whereby it was put in my basement. Before and after each ride, the motorcycle was cleaned with professional cleaning rags- you will not find a cleaner, used motorcycle.

Details: Dealer installed full GYTR exhaust with carbon fiber heads. In addition, this motorcycle has a tank guard, fender eliminator, and aftermarket mirrors.

Maintenance: Oil changed every spring and fall with full synthetic oil. In the spring, filters were changed and the motorcycle was given full inspection including the adjustment of fuel to air intake if necessary. Battery was replaced spring of 2016.

Ienatsch, Hill, Russell, Bestwick To Give Speech At Yale Today

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

In what might be considered the most shocking news of 2014 so far, Nick Ienatsch and Ken Hill are going to Yale. While some might think the Chief and Lead instructors at the newly revamped Yamaha Champions Riding School are getting in over their heads, the two are at Yale as lead presenters for “Excellence In Motion: What Motorcycle Racing Can Teach Us About Success,” which begins at 4pm (local time) today.  When put into context, their appearance at one of the nation’s top schools is understandable. Each has had their fair share of success aboard motorcycles, and they will be joined by two more champions on two-wheels, five-time Daytona 200 winner and 1993 World Superbike Champion Scott Russell, and Jamie Bestwick, an avid motorcyclist and winner of eight consecutive X-Games BMX Vert gold medals.

AMA Supercross: 2012 Los Angeles Results

Mon, 23 Jan 2012

Chad Reed won his first race of the 2012 AMA Supercross season in Los Angeles but the victory was overshadowed by a first-lap collision that left Trey Canard and Ryan Morais with broken backs. Racing for Team Honda Muscle Milk, Canard was injured on the first lap after catching a piece of some signage. That forced him to single a triple jump, putting him in the path of Star Valli Yamaha rider Ryan Morais who landed on Canard from behind.

Yamaha R1 rider lowsides on left-hander

Tue, 23 Mar 2010

THIS GUY'S lucky he doesn't get flicked over the top, after losing the back end of his Yamaha YZF-R1 on a twisty section of mountain road. He looks pretty miffed at the result; we think he got away lightly. It could have been soooo much worse if the rear tyre had gripped and lobbed the rider over the top.
