DONT MISS OUT HERE! I have a 2005 yamaha R6 raven edition with quite a few upgrades. I got this sport bike about 2 years ago from an army buddy of mine and I fell in love with it. This thing is all blacked out with a puig after market windshield, pazzo shift levers, yzm full exhaust, steering stabilizer, new grips, pilot 3 tires, redone sprockets, and ignition advancer! I put about 2500 bucks into all these upgrades and let me tell you, it is worth it. This bike screams! Although it is a 600cc, it rides like some sort of rocket bike produced by NASA. I am almost forced to sell it because I am starting a family and I have to buy a ring, no room for toys.... This bike really is clean and a total showpiece that runs like a champ. Fri, 13 Jul 2012Remember that video on YouTube about the rider going 185 mph on a highway in Canada? The video went viral and eventually led to the seizure of a Yamaha R1 and $1,449 (Canadian) in traffic tickets issued to its owner. In April, police in Saanich, British Columbia believed they had enough evidence to seize the R1 and issued tickets to the registered owner for speeding, operating without due care and attention, and operating without insurance.
Intermot 2012: Yamaha Unveils Crossplane Triple Concept
Tue, 02 Oct 2012Yamaha announced it is developing a new three-cylinder engine using a crossplane crankshaft inherited from the company’s YZR-M1 MotoGP bike and its YZF-R1 sportbike. Yamaha says the new Triple will play an important role in the company’s future. The Japanese manufacturer unveiled a concept sculpture with the new three-cylinder engine at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany.
