Yamaha XS description

I have for saIe a beautiful all Original 1975 Yamaha XS650B. I am the 2nd owner and as you can see this bike was always garaged and well cared for by it's original owner. I want to point out that the mileage on the speedometer indicates 4,600miles , but the original owner did disclose to me that the original speedometer had to be replaced (stopped working) when it had approximately 7,000 miles on it. So the total amount of miles is approximately 11,600...with that said, the condition of this bike could easily pass for what the newer speedo indicates. This is a mute point when registering it with Antique tags anyway do to mileage exempt status. Enough about the disclosure, take a look at the pics and ask me any questions that they don't answer for you. I have the original owners manual and paperwork from when the bike was purchased new in 1975. Thanks for looking and Good Luck!

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.

Yamaha claims the updated TMax can get up to 53 mpg, compared to the previous model’s 47 mpg claims.

Behind the scenes in Qatar

Sat, 19 Mar 2011

Just because you have the name Jorge Lorenzo on your screen and you've won a world championship doesn't mean you'll get an easy time at scrutineering. In Qatar the technical inspection staff made the factory Yamaha mechanics remove bodywork and unbolt some electrical components in order to get a better look at the guts of the 2011 M1. Everything was in order of course but what a great opportunity for the scrutineers to exercise their power and have a poke around the most high tech Yamaha on the planet.
