You are buying a 1972 Yamaha XS650 motorcycle. This bike is a project and will need work to be road worthy. I have picked up a bunch of Yamaha xs650 stuff over the last couple years and am now listing it all on ebay, so check out my other auctions. The motor turns over and is not stuck. I do not have a title for it, ebay's listing tool does not have a way to select "not title" . If you have any questions, please feel free to email me through ebay. I am willing to store the bike for a month if you need me to, but payment is required within 7 days of the auction closing. I am willing to ship the bike using the shipper of your choice. Fri, 02 Oct 2009TO CELEBRATE the 40th anniversary of man's first steps on the moon, Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo will wear an astronaut-style paint job on his helmet at this weekend's Portuguese GP. The Spaniard's lid has been sprayed to look a little like a spaceman's helmet and has Neil Armstrong's immortal words: "That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind" written on the rear. Let's just hope Lorenzo doesn't launch himself this weekend.
Yard Built XV950 Pure Sports Channels the Yamaha FZ750
Tue, 29 Apr 2014The latest product Yamaha Motor Europe’s Yard Built custom specials is a Star Bolt transformed into a replica of an FZ750. Dubbed the XV950 Pure Sports after the words written on the original FZ750′s fairing, the project was produced by Italy’s LowRide magazine and Radikal Chopper and styling by Oberdan Bezzi. The Star Bolt – known in Europe as the XV950 – is nearly unrecognizable in this new guise, except for its 942cc V-Twin engine.

Tue, 20 Jul 2010RANDY de Puniet may well have just been ejected from his LCR Honda RC212V MotoGP racer during qualifying for Sunday's Sachsenring GP but that ain't gonna stop him from bringing one of the company perks with him to Dr Costa's on-circuit surgery. The Frenchman crashed during qualifying after hitting oil and water spilled on track by Jorge Lorenzo's Fiat Yamaha, after it spewed its guts along almost the entire length of the start finished straight. Following the crash De Puniet was whisked away on a stretcher with a suspected broken foot.
