1980 Yamaha XJ650 Runs and drives great After market Pod filters (carburetors tuned to match new air flow) Updated panel New tires (approx.. 500 Miles on them) New breaks (same as tires) After market sissy bar with pad. This a great starter bike and has always ran well. It has no kick stand just the center rack style stand. Missing emblems and paint is good shape but it could use a fresh coat. Luckily there are not many body panels so that is a easy weekend project to make the bike your own. It looks and drives great and I will miss it but it needs to go. Time for a dune buggy. California Superbike School 2-day Camp at Silverstone
Mon, 24 May 2010California Superbike School will be running a 2-day camp at Silverstone for the first time in the UK this August, offering riders a chance to enjoy extra track time while improving their skills in the art of cornering. Taking place on the all-new South circuit (1.9 miles long with 12 turns) students can ride their own bike or hire a fully prepared 2010 Yamaha R6 with the latest Dunlop Sportsmart tyres and fuel included. Already hugely popular with students returning year after year, previously the 2-day camps have been held in Spain during the spring.

Mon, 06 Jan 2014KTM rookie Ken Roczen captured his first 450 class win in the AMA Supercross world championship, taking the season opener at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. An audience of 45,050 fans watched a clean race from the rookie while errors by veterans like James Stewart and three-time reigning champion Ryan Villopoto knocked them out of contention. Villopoto had a strong start, taking the holeshot and leading the first eight laps, just like the Kawasaki rider had done so often the last few seasons.
Yamaha Gets Monster Energy MotoGP Team Sponsorship, Annuls Lorenzo’s RockStar Sponsorship Deal
Fri, 21 Dec 2012Yamaha has reportedly signed energy drink maker Monster Energy to sponsor its factory MotoGP team, according to Spanish site MotoCuatro.com. The new sponsorship deal created a bit of a problem however, as Yamaha‘s star rider Jorge Lorenzo recently signed a two-year contact extension to his personal sponsorship deal with RockStar, a rival energy drink maker. To get around this sticky situation, MotoCuatro reports Yamaha will invoke a clause in Lorenzo’s contract allowing the manufacturer to veto and buy out his RockStar contract.
