Yamaha WR description

I am the second adult-owner of this low-mileage excellent condition bike. It starts, runs, and shifts perfectly. It was clean as a whistle when I purchased in March 2011 with 1,088 miles and I added a little over 1,000 more miles -- all on the street.  You'd be hard pressed to tell it was ever off-road. Unfortunately, I just don't have time to ride it anymore.  


Bike is stock except for aftermarket skid plate and front tire (upgraded).  I have an extra-tooth sprocket and owner's manual I can include as well. The only thing missing on this bike is the mirrors which I removed and cannot find.

In terms of service record, I've done 3 oil changes since I purchased (and have remaining oil and filters to go with the bike). Two other issues both fixed by dealer. The first was a bad fuel pump which I understand was fairly common for this bike / year. The second was a key / ignition issue where the key wouldn't fit / turn the tumblers (ignition and keys were all replaced...bike comes with two sets of keys). 

I have clean title and I'm selling with no reserve.  $500 deposit required within 24 hours of auction close.  If you have zero feedback, please contact me before bidding or I reserve the right to delete your bid.

Yamaha Reports Q2 2013 Sales Results

Yamaha bounced back from a poor first quarter with sales of 1.530 million motorcycles over the second quarter ended June 30, 2013. The results represent a 1.5% increase from the 1.507 million motorcycles sold in the same quarter last year. Still, Yamaha’s first half motorcycle sales total of 3.0 million units remains behind last year’s tally of 3.1 million units because of the weak first quarter sales.

I don't know about you but I've yet to ride anything with two wheels and an engine that I didn't enjoy in one form or another. From minimotos to 1800 Goldwings, there's always some fun to be had even if it is just the novel experience that makes you grin. I am not one for a pidgeonhole, that's for sure.
