Selling my 1999 yamaha vstar 650 classic. It has upgraded mustang seats, after market exhaust pipes, leather saddle bags, leather cup holder, windshield, and passing lights. Its runs great. Starts every time and runs strong. It has a new battery, I just changed the oil and oil filter. I will change the front brake pads as soon as they get delivered to my house. It will need the rear brake shoes replaced, theyre starting to squeek. I would do it but I dont have a lift. The tires still have tread and should last another season. AMA Supercross: 2012 Phoenix Results
Mon, 16 Jan 2012Ryan Dungey gave KTM its first ever AMA Supercross win, taking the holeshot and leading every lap in Phoenix, Ariz. With an audience of 49,236 watching at Chase Field, it was the field that had to chase Dungey during the main event. Dungey jumped out in front at the first corner followed by JGRMX Yamaha‘s Davi Millsaps and defending AMA Supercross Champion Ryan Villopoto of Kawasaki.
Yamaha Recalls R1 and Super Tenere for Overheating Headlights
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Yamaha has started a recall campaign on 2009-2013 YZF-R1 sportbikes and 2012-2013 Super Ténéré models because of a risk of headlight failure due to overheating. The recall campaign affects 19,045 units of the R1 and 4,683 units of the Super Ténéré in the U.S. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, heat generated by the headlight bulb socket may cause the terminal ends to expand, resulting in arcing between the terminal connector and bulb contact.
