2005 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe , 2005 Royal Star Tour Deluxe. Best balanced/equipped cruiser/tourer made IMHO. Instant removable windshield and sissy bar assembly w/Yam luggage rack for different looks/use. Automotive style electronic cruise control, Ultimate driver backrest, autocancel turn signals, Yamaha lightbar w/visors all signals and new Halogens, stock exhaust with slash cut RK exhaust too (louder). Very quick and comfortable w extremely durable engine (seen 200k on some). Synthetic blend oils in engine and differential (shaft drive), Waterwetter in radiator recently serviced. New brakes, clutch fluid and tires (Metzler Marathons)...wonderful handling in the twisties. Never down, stored in climate controlled garage and in showroom condition. The great care lavished on this bike will be evident on viewing/riding. 3rd one I've owned so I'm a fan and know what to look for..this one has it. Yamaha Focusing on Developing Model Platforms

Following the success of its MT platform, Yamaha says it will continue to develop new models based on shared platforms, allowing for a choice of multiple models while reducing overall costs. Speaking in a presentation on the company’s business operation, Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi reiterated the strategy of developing multiple models sharing the same engine and frame. Honda has followed a similar strategy with its NC models, seeing the platform evolve to include the CTX700 and NM4.

Like Kenny Roberts, Valentino Rossi has got his own ranch where he has built his own private motocross track and dirt oval. The above YouTube video shows Rossi training on the flat-track circuit that makes up his 'MotoRanch' located near his home town of Tavullia. He's shown riding a Yamaha, but that's probably because Ducati don't have themselves a scrambler.
