Yamaha Road Star description

Bike is a 2000 Yamaha Roadstar 1600cc with lots of work. 21" front wheel, lowered front and rear, straight pipes, tank lift and coil relocation, custom chin spoiler for fuel pump, rear fender mounted and 3" springer seat. Swingarm bag, custom air cleaner, ALL fluids changed 20 miles ago, valves checked by Heinens Yamaha in Osseo MN...Bike is road ready for many many more miles. No speedo but build has around 12k. Motor runs STRONG and shifts smoothly. Bought a new bike so this one sits and is too cool to not be ridden. I have over 10k into the bike and want a fast sale. I have a video to send to anyone as well about the bikes history and how it fits with me on it.

Day 2 Dakar 2014: Sunderland Wins First Special Stage

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Honda won the second day of competition with Team HRC’s Sam Sunderland claiming victory in the first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Sunderland has had a frustrating time at previous Dakars, dropping out after three days of racing in 2012 and withdrawing a month before last year’s event due to fracturing both his wrists. Today, however, Sunderland made a grand entrance into the club of elite riders by brilliantly winning his first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Having started well behind his teammate, Joan Barreda, the 23-year old Brit superbly overtook Michael Metge and Juan Pedrero on the first part of the route.

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released the official entry list for the 2014 MotoGP Championship including 23 riders representing 13 teams. The final entry list also lists each rider’s status as either a Open or Factory class rider. The eight Factory riders are allowed to use their teams’ own proprietary ECU software but are otherwise limited by a freeze on engine development, a limit of five engines for the whole season and just 5.3 gallons of fuel per race.

For two months, the mechanics managed to turn the "ugly duckling" born in 1989 into a masterpiece. A new subframe and seat were made for the motorcycle, a Renthal handlebar and branded CRD controls were installed. The engine has been completely restored, the crankcase covers are sanded and varnished.
