2006 Yamaha Star Venture XVZ1300, Long distance, open-road touring could be a hassle for just about anybody that doesn’t have the patience for it. That’s why it’s imperative to have a bike that can make you feel comfortable, no matter the distance.

As far as entertainment is concerned, the Royal Star Venture has you covered in the form of a great sounding, audio system with a CB radio, intercom system, and AM/FM, with tape player, and an aux. input.
Then there’s the powerful 1300cc liquid-cooled 70 V-four DOHC, 4-valve per cylinder engine that produces 97 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 89 lb/ft of torque mated to a five-speed, wide-ratio transmission. Add that to the bike’s outstanding chassis and suspension set-up - a high-integrity, single-backbone frame with solid engine mounting and 29-degree caster angle and an air-adjustable telescopic front fork and link-type rear suspension - and you have a bike that’s fit for just about any road it travels on. Thu, 15 Sep 2011Bumped into a riding instructor last weekend. Not literally, though, I'm pleased to add. The road had been closed by a big accident and we'd all been forced into the same coffee/petrol stop together. He had one pupil with him on a 125 Yamaha custom thing.

Fri, 31 Dec 2010An erratic work schedule combined with a full season of kids racing means, there aren’t many opportunities during the summer months for the Mackenzie family to grab a holiday. Instead, we tend to save our pennies and head off somewhere sunny for Christmas. I love doing this as it shortens the UK winter but more importantly it means I miss the festive frenzy. I do like Christmas, but I hate how everyone gets caught up in the retail madness that kicks off just before Halloween, then has everyone stressed (and skint)before Santa has even hitched up his sleigh.
Yamaha Majesty Scooter Returns for 2012 Lineup
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Yamaha is bringing back the Majesty scooter as part of its 2012 lineup. The 395cc scooter was last offered as a 2010 model and it returns for 2012 with a new Charcoal color. Beyond that, the Majesty is unchanged, with its fuel-injected engine and V-belt CVT.
