Vincent All description

St Vincent 9 Used.

Sound, without any faults unless otherwise mentioned in the description or very obvious in the photos. No disappointing surprises with my offerings.

Postage stamps are used to mail your purchases. None of this thoughtless use of meters and labels on mail to stamp collectors!

***   I do combine shipping. If you receive an invoice from eBay that does not have combined shipping please DO NOT PAY. Please contact me and I will send you a revised invoice.

***   Most of my offerings on eBay are also available on other venues. If sold on another venue, the eBay listing will be removed as soon as possible. However, in very rare instances, it is possible that an eBay listing may not be available anymore. A prompt cancellation and refund if payment has been received, will be made if this happens.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED on International sales over $45. Additional cost will be $16.  PLEASE do not pay your eBay invoice until you receive a revised invoice from me with the additional charge of $16 for Registration. If the buy it now price or auction starting price is $45 or greater on a single listing, the required registration cost is included in the shipping price if shipping is shown to be $20 or more.

About Hinging and Gum Condition

Mint stamps in my listings will always mention the condition of the gum following the word Mint. NH for never hinged, LH lightly hinged, VLH very lightly hinged, OG for anything more than lightly hinged. OG stamps will have disturbed gum from previous hingings. OG stamps may have a tiny bit of hinge remnant still attached. If more than a tiny bit, OG stamps will additionally be noted as HR for hinge remnant or HH for heavily hinged. If the stamp was issued with gum but has lost it, I will list it as Unused NG for no gum.

If the stamp was issued without gum it will be listed as NGAI for no gum as issued. I have noticed that some dealers may sometimes list these with an added "NH". That is ridiculous as a quick bath and any hinge mark will instantly disappear (have even seen some offering used stamps as NH!!!). For that reason I do not mention the presence or lack of a hinge mark on NGAI stamps.

MISC. INFO AND RETURN POLICY

CONDITION: Items are sound, without faults unless faults are noted in the description or are readily apparent in the photos.
MINT means that a stamp is unused but NOT never hinged unless noted as being "Mint NH".
NGAI means "no gum as issued". NGAI stamps may or may not show evidence of hinging.
Used stamps may or may not have been hinged. If you only want NH Used stamps, you are in the wrong hobby!!!

LITERATURE: Dust jackets/covers should not be expected unless specifically mentioned. Prices realized should not be expected with auction catalogs unless specifically mentioned. Unless stated as being hardbound (HB), all auction catalogs are with card or paper covers as published.

SHIPPING and DOMESTIC 1NSURANCE: Due to increasingly long lines at my Post Office, the shipping of purchases will be limited to one day a week, Friday. Paid for items will be shipped the Friday following receipt of payment. No local pickup available. 1nsurance may be purchased on domestic shipments at $2 per shipment regardless of the total value. If 1nsurance is desired, you must request a revised invoice. If the 1nsurance fee is not paid, you are explicitly agreeing to NOT hold me responsible for non-delivery or damage.

PLEASE NOTE INTERNATIONAL 1NSURANCE: The United States Postal Service has made it extremely difficult and EXPENSIVE to insure international mail. ONLY Priority Mail International, NOT flat rate envelopes and boxes, may be insured at the outrageous cost of $45 to Canada, $50 to Mexico, and $55 to most all other countries. This price includes the cost of postage and 1nsurance on all orders, except literature, regardless of weight or value (I'll pay the extra cost for higher weight and value shipments). Most literature orders will cost this much also, but please inquire first. I am very sorry, but international buyers must agree to not hold me responsible for lost or damaged shipments unless sent by insured Priority Mail International. .

RETURNS: Your satisfaction is guaranteed or return within 14 days of receipt for refund. Accumulation/collection lots are NOT returnable.

By placing a bid or making a Buy It Now purchase you are EXPLICITLY agreeing to ALL of the above terms, conditions, informations, etc.

Behind the “Bathing Suit” Picture

Fri, 09 Jan 2009

Few motorcycle photographs are as iconic as that of the famous Bonneville “Bathing Suit Picture.” While you have undoubtedly seen this image before, you may not know the story behind it. The scantily clad and debatably crazy rider was a man by the name of Roland “Rollie” Free. The bike, often thought by many to be a Vincent Black Shadow, was in fact a Black Lightning – the fastest Vincent ever to see production.

The World Endurance Championship Starts This Weekend

Wed, 23 Apr 2014

Endurance racing is perhaps the ultimate test of both man and machine. In the past, teams would pace themselves in order to rest both elements enough to make a final push at the end. These days, however, motorcycles are more reliable than ever, and riders train like triathletes.
