Divided back postcard view of HOTEL VINCENT, SAGINAW, MI. Card is used, postmarked SAGINAW, MI 4/25/1909. Card is in very good condition with some typical minor corner and edge wear due to age and some writing on front. Any shadowy or shiny glare areas in the photo is just the lighting, not on the item unless noted as such. As always, please see pictures for actual condition as grading may be subjective.

Bonhams Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction Rakes In $1.8 Million

  A collection of classic motorcycles including some owned by the Du Pont family was auctioned by Bonhams in Las Vegas, with sales reaching $1.8 million, nearly double the pre-auction estimates. The auction included 50 motorcycles and 113 lots of spare parts from the Du Pont family including some from the personal collection of E. Paul du Pont, founder of Du Pont Motors and one-time president of Indian Motorcycles.

Classic Japanese Bikes Highlight Bonhams’ Next Auction

Bonhams’ annual fall auction, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, at Stafford County Showground is scheduled for October 20, 2013. Included in the auction is the above pictured 1974 Kawasaki H1-RW 500cc triple. Expected to sell for approximately $96,000 to $112,000, the Japanese works Grand Prix racer is one of only two machines built by the factory for the French Kawasaki importer SIDEMM for use in the 500cc World Championship. The bikes were ridden during the 1974 season by the French endurance racing specialist Christian Léon and French-Canadian Formula 750 star Yvon Duhamel.
