AMA Supercross: 2012 Los Angeles Results

Chad Reed won his first race of the 2012 AMA Supercross season in Los Angeles but the victory was overshadowed by a first-lap collision that left Trey Canard and Ryan Morais with broken backs. Racing for Team Honda Muscle Milk, Canard was injured on the first lap after catching a piece of some signage. That forced him to single a triple jump, putting him in the path of Star Valli Yamaha rider Ryan Morais who landed on Canard from behind.

While Schwantz wore RS Taichi gear during several of his memorable seasons in the 500cc class, his partnership and success with Taichi apparel all started with his victory at the 1988 Daytona 200. In December, we reported on a new electric motorcycle racing series, which would run alongside the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA). Dubbed the eMotoRacing series, it is now the sole national racing series for electric motorcycles. The series has now completed its first two west coast events, at Willow Springs International Raceway in Southern California, and Sonoma Raceway in the California Wine Country.
