Vespa All description

For sale is a restored 1966 Vespa VBC Super 150.

The scooter was restored around 2010 (repainted, rebuilt motor, etc) and has been sitting in a garage, unused, until 3/01/16.  Since then it's been used every weekend (riding it to the store, etc) and I've put around 250 miles on it.

To get it running after sitting for so long it needed some work, see below (all work was performed by Massimo's Vespa Shop in Costa Mesa), and now it starts on the first kick.

-New fork bearing kit (lower + upper)
-New speedometer gear and cable
-New fuel tap and hose
-New spark plug
-Cleaned gas tank
-Cleaned and jetted carb (new float, new float cover, new conical needle and new gasket)
-New front brake cable
-Safety inspected brakes and tires
-Newer JL exhaust (aftermarkt)
-Newer low profile seat (aftermarket) - I have the mount for the buddy seat if you prefer that setup

Having been in Venice for the past few months the chrome has some rust spots.  It's hardly noticeable except for the spare and the front shocks/spring.

The Vespa is listed locally on Craigslist so I may end the auction early.

2015 Vespa GTS Gets ABS and Traction Control

Thu, 24 Apr 2014

Piaggio announced new updates for the Vespa GTS, adding anti-lock brakes, a traction control system and its new Enahnced Sliding Suspension system, bringing the company’s latest scooter technologies to the largest, most powerful Vespa model. The new additions on the GTS should not be a surprise, as they have already been adopted by other new Vespa models such as the 946. Piaggio was the first company to introduce ABS and ASR traction control system for scooters, and the updated GTS will now receive the technology as a factory-installed option.
