Up for auction are these superb, lightweight and sought after vintage Campagnolo Vento Aero Wheels from the 1990s, probably 1999. They are the legendary and bomb-proof Vento wheels for clincher tyres that have a deep aero profile 38mm rim and a black anodised finish and are laced with stainless steel aero flat-bladed spokes to Campagnolo Record level small flange hubs. They are 9, 10 and 11 speed compatible have 14 holes front, 16 holes rear and an OLN of 100mm and 130mm. They come complete with the original Record quick release skewers.

This is the last version of these cutting-edge Campagnolo aero wheels and being finished in black are very rare, much more so than the previous editions.

The condition of these wheels is superb! The rims have very little wear, the spokes look new and the hubs spin super smoothly!

These are the type of wheels that are, for some, very near the pinnacle of Campagnolo's engineering. They will last a lifetime and yet are light and elegant. They are not dissimilar to the Shamal wheels that were regularly used by the professionals when racing in the Grand Tours and One-Day Classics during the 1990s and early 2000s. This is a very high quality wheelset in the very best condition which will happily grace a top end retro or modern build with Campag equipment on a Carbon, Reynolds, Vitus or Columbus frame.
