Triumph Speed Triple description

For sale is my 2008 triumph speed. Bike was purchased from an insurance company. The bike had motor issues due to water/flood damage so a used 2011 motor with 8200 miles was professionally installed by the triumph dealer and the Triumph dealer went over the whole bike and the 6000 mile tune up was done. Along with that, a new clutch cable and handle was installed. I have a copy of the invoice for the newer motor. The bike has the mad doctor fender eliminator kit on it, aftermarket exhaust, hugger rear fender. The bike runs excellent and looks great. It has a few very minor scratches but is in great shape. The winning bidder is responsible for shipping.   I will drop the bike at a shippers location or the shipper can come to my home to pick it up. Any questions please ask thank you.

And a few models such as Honda’s NC700S and X, Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 and CRP’s Energica were unveiled without heavy prior fanfare, but gasps of surprise weren’t heard when the wraps were taken off Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer, Husqvarna’s Nuda or MV Augusta’s F3 675 among others, whose existences were revealed months in advance of the show. What we’ve comprised below is our list Top 10 Bikes unveiled at EICMA that didn’t receive top billing but are certainly worthy of your attention.

50th Anniversary Of The Great Escape To Be Celebrated With Electric Motorcycle

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

July 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Steve McQueen film, “The Great Escape,” and to commemorate the golden anniversary of McQueen’s escape attempt from German forces during WWII, McQueen Motorcycle will unveil a special electric motorcycle, the Xscape. The Xscape is scheduled to be McQueen Motorcycle’s first production motorcycle, with cues to incorporate today’s technology and integrate “the history and design of tradition.” Details are scarce at this point, but considering McQueen rode a Triumph TR6 Trophy in the scene, it would be reasonable to expect similar styling. In fact, looking closely at the photo above will reveal wire wheels, most likely a nod to the vintage Triumph.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
