Triumph Rocket III description

2010 Triumph Rocket III Touring, Super clean super strong!!! - ROCKET III TOURING Sit back, relax and arrive in style. Triumph’s critically-acclaimed Rocket III Touring is a touring motorcycle built around a retuned version of the iconic turbine-like 2.3 liter engine, which has been developed for effortless low down torque, the Rocket III Touring’s chassis has been designed specifically for the job in hand. Suspension has been tuned to achieve high levels of comfort without compromising control, while the 180-millimeter rear tire and 16-inch wheels make for surprisingly agile handling. Comfort comes from sumptuous rider and passenger seats, detachable screen and footboards front and rear, while color-matched, water resistant, hard cases and shrouded front forks with polished lower castings add more than a dash of style and practicality to this highly accomplished motorcycle. New for 2010, Triumph has liberally applied items from its official accesories catalogue to create a machine with even greater touring capability. Fog lamps, long haul seat, adjustable backrest, luggage rack and sissybar, dresser bars, highway pegs, and additional trim on hard bags and headlights add an extra touch of class for this long haul machine.

Riding in groups

Mon, 19 Apr 2010

Saturday morning was a stonker wasn’t it? A group of us ranging from neighbours, brothers, mates and girlfriends got up and headed down to the coast for a spot of bacon and eggs. We had a real diverse selection or bikes actually with a GSX1400, XJR1300, Triumph Speedmaster, MT01, A Yamaha R1 and my Triumph Speed Triple.

The future. But we can't have it

Thu, 10 Nov 2011

It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.

Triumph Rocket 3: Hope you like black

Tue, 29 Sep 2009

COLOURED PAINT must be thin on the ground at Triumph: the company's latest incarnation of their gargantuan Rocket 3 will only available in black when it's released early next year. And there's more torque, too: 165ft-lbs to be precise - up 15 per cent on last year. Triumph also say the new bike will offer "A completely different riding experience from its predecessor." Bold statement.
