This is an extremely rare vintage Eric Cheney frame Triumph 650 ISDT Desert Sled. Frame number TR1 26 Engine number DU34050 It's in fantastic condition, starts 1-2 kicks, very tight bike. Speedo shows 947 miles. Has Works Performance shocks and many cool vintage bits such as frame mounted air tank with hose to reach front & rear wheels. Metzeler tires have very little use. Chrome rims very nice and straight. This bike has been in a private collection for decades. Was last ridden at the Dalton MA ISDT Reunion ride in 2003 If you are looking for a rare collectible that will be sure to hold it's value, this is it. Triumph’s Wheel Bearing Recall Spreads to US for 2011-2012 Daytona 675, Street Triple and 2012 Thunderbird and Thunderbird Storm
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Earlier this week, we wrote about a recall in Canada for unapproved wheel bearings for the 2011-2012 Triumph Daytona 675 sportbike and its naked sibling the Street Triple. As expected, a similar recall has now been announced for the U.S., adding the Thunderbird and Thunderbird Storm cruisers to the campaign. The recall also affects the 2011-2012 Triumph Street Triple R but the Daytona 675R is not included in the recall.
Recall for 2011-2012 Triumph Sprint GT, Tiger 800, Tiger 800XC Optional Top Box
Thu, 11 Aug 2011Triumph issued a recall for optional accessory top boxes for the 2011-2012 Sprint GT sport tourer and the Tiger 800 and 800XC dual sports. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the top box locking handle is missing a clip lip to ensure a proper lock on the rear rack. Without this clip, the locking mechanism may not be secure, potentially leading to the top box falling off of the motorcycle.
