Updated Pictures! Sorry for the delay in posting them - New pics show the bike as it sits with bar-end mirrors, front fender mounted, etc.

I do have a lot of spare TL parts from owning them for the past 7 years - If there's anything you need or would like to go with the bike just let me know and we can make it happen.

Forgot to mention - TB's just synchronized, brand new spark plugs, and upgraded to coils from a 2008 SV650 (direct swap but a better spark)

The only things that aren't in GREAT shape about the bike:

- Tiny slit in the riders seat - 1/4" long.

- The Yoshi cans are in fair condition - If I were keeping the bike I would refinish them, but I'll leave that choice (finish type, color, etc...) up to the buyer.

- Small scuff on the side cover

- The windscreen is a bit hazy and has some light scuffs. It's condition can be seen from the pictures.

Keep in mind, this is a USED bike. In listing those things I'm trying to be explicit about everything with the bike so that I am fully representing the condition of the bike. It really is in great shape and I think whoever buys this bike will be extremely pleased with it.

On to the original ad:

Up for sale is my 1997 Suzuki TL1000S. These are great bikes and I purchased this one a while back to have as a second bike but I almost never ride it and it needs to go somewhere that it will see some use. My other bike is another 97 TLS that I've owned for 7 years and have done a ton of work to, so having two is just not needed.

Only 10k miles, I purchased from the original owner and haven't used it hardly at all - less than 200 miles. Runs great - probably stronger than my other TL, Yoshimura bolt-on exhaust, K&N filter, otherwise stock. Just got it back from the painters - painted a really nice gunmetal gray that was done very nicely.

Tires probably have 50% life left, front and rear brakes were just bled, fresh oil change, chain was just adjusted/lubed.  Ready to ride! Great shape. It's hard to find a clean example of these TL's with such low mileage! Any questions, just ask.

2012 GSX-R1000 arrives at Visordown HQ

Wed, 23 May 2012

You've probably seen the video of Simon Crafar smoking up the 2012 GSX-R1000 at Almeria. Impressive stuff. Suzuki are (correct me if I'm wrong) the last manufacturer of an inline four superbike not to offer it with some sort of electronic rider aids.

NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.
