Suzuki GSX-R description

2007 Suzuki Gsx-R 1000, Clean GSXR 1000 with 11,293 miles. Owned and maintained by former mechanic. Excellent condition. Has dual Akrapovic carbon fiber slip ons with Akrapovic Y pipe, no-cut frame sliders, Puig windscreen, and rear fender eliminator with light. The rest of the bike is completely stock. Michelin Pilot Road 2 tires. Both have plenty of tread life remaining. This bike is in near mint condition, never down. Will sell for 7500 without the Akrapovic exhaust system, I have the stock mufflers, still in excellent condition as well. Im selling this bike because I have a daughter now, and I never have time to ride anymore. Its just been sitting in the garage for over a year. I am the original owner. This bike is in like new condition. Thanks for looking. $7,500.00 9497011642

In Qatar the technical inspection staff made the factory Yamaha mechanics remove bodywork and unbolt some electrical components in order to get a better look at the guts of the 2011 M1. Everything was in order of course but what a great opportunity for the scrutineers to exercise their power and have a poke around the most high tech Yamaha on the planet.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
