Pictures show the donor bike that the 1000cc motor came from as well as the powder coating process. The main picture is how the finished bike sits now.

Gauge cluster was purchased separate so the odometer on the cluster reads 34,000. The mileage on the motor was around 13,800 when I installed it. I have been riding the bike around since the summer started so it is probably mid 14,000s now. Any other questions please feel free to shoot me a text. Overall amazing running bike and a blast to ride. Mechanically sound, Make an offer!

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.

This remarkable shot of Eddie Lawson is taken by Rich Chenet. It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.
