Suzuki Boulevard tech info
Suzuki Boulevard description
Ok, so here's the deal--I hit a curb going less than 25mph but it cuased the rim on the front tire to bend (photo'ed). The whole front wheel was pushed up into the front faring, causing the brakes to bend the sheet metal on the front faring (photo'ed). I actually drove the bike home after the accident and for a little while after that. Eventually, the air in the front tire discharged because there was not a seal between the rim and the tire, and that is when I noticed the damage. As far as I can tell, it needs a new or repaired rim to function properly again. The front faring needs to be fixed but that's all cosmetic. In the interest of full disclosure, the display on the radio controller that is mounted on the front of the bike malfunctions occassionally. The display will go blank, but the buttons still work and control the radio properly. I bought a replacement part, but never installed it. I will, of course, include the part with the bike. As far as everything with the engine goes, it's runs like a champ. I've kept up with oil changes and basic maintenance. This was my commuter bike, and not a show bike. It's certainly not in perfrect condition with a few dings and scratches throughout, but it's mechnically sound. If you're willing to put even just a little bit of effort into this bike, you'd be getting a really nice motorcycle for super cheap Buyer responsible for pick up, and this is item is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. |
