Other Regina 250 description
This motorcycle came out of a collection in California and I believe this bike to be one of only two "Regina 250's" in the United States. Making this bike even rarer is that it is in it's original, unrestored condition. It obviously has always been stored in doors and I assume that anyone considering a bid is familiar with Horex. The paint is all original and still glossy. The chrome is also all original and it's showing its age. The odometer shows only 2405 Kilometers. When I bought this bike I had an experienced motorcycle mechanic rebuild the engine and transmission. It has only been ridden once since then for a weekend at Mid-Ohio Vintage Motorcycle Days about two years ago. All numbers match. Everything functions as it should on this bike. There is a small ding on the size of the tank about the size of a dime and a couple small spots where the chrome has peeled . There are three small holes in the rear fender by the "Regina 250" decal that were more than likely used to mount a brake light (see pic). It is missing two screws in the emblems, one screw on the switch, and one acorn nut on the rear fender. Keep in mind that, while this bike is in beautiful original condition, it's not new and there are small scratches and an overall patina that you loose with a restoration. If I wasn't moving onto a boat and cruising, I would not sell this motorcycle. It is a blast to go to a vintage motorcycle meet and ride around on a bike that most have not even heard of. All-in-all, a truly beautiful and rare example of premium German engineering and quality. Buyer will be responsible for arranging all shipping (or local pick-up). Shoot me an offer. Ask any questions and feel free to contact me. My personal cell (513) 505-5040.
