1912 excelsior engine
Located in Miami, Florida 
Sold with bill of sale only
I disassembled engine to inspect.
Engine is clean inside and appears to have been rebuilt. 
Cases show no sign of welding or repair. They are in excellent shape.
Cylinders are very good. A few broken fins. Still retain some original nickel plating.
All bronze bushings are new
Cylinders look to have been machined and are in good shape
Pistons are missing
The intake valves, lifters, pushrods and rockers all appear serviceable
1 exhaust valve is missing
All shafts and gears are in fine shape
Connecting rods feel fine
Magneto gear is missing. 
Bosch Magneto appears to be complete. Except connectors for plug wires are missing.
Dual schebler carbs and custom manifolds. 
The intake manifolds use the original nut.you could return to original if you have a manifold. No permanent modifications 
The exhaust flanges fit over the threaded Exhaust spigots. The threads look to be 100% good. I think you could remove the flanges and use OEM nuts. If desired. Skill and ability will be required here. 
In summary the engine could be restored to original. I like it like this. 
Whoever did the work had excellent machine and TIG welding skills. I am qualified to evaluate because I possess similar skills.
The engine does not run and needs work to complete. I think this engine would rune very easily, provided you have the skills. 

Overall I believe the engine is in very good condition. Missing only 1 exhaust valve, spring and collar. Also missing magneto gear. I think both of these parts can sourced, fabricated or adapted from another engine. Engine case bolts are missing. I replaced two of them with 1/4-20 Allen bolts. Fit perfect, All could be replaced with the same. 
I have inspected all the threads in crankcase. All threads appear serviceable. I see no stripped threads. The cases are in really amazing condition.

If a client wanted, for an additional price, I am able to build you a boardtrack racer. See picture of my INDIAN.  indian racer is not included in this auction. 

I am not an expert in either of these makes. I may be mistaken in my id and/or evaluation. Please ask questions.

I think the engine could be boxed and shipped for $150 + cost of insurance.
