Other All description

You'll never see another one of these on Ebay or just about anywhere else. This bike was clocked at over 92 mph on the wet sand of then famous Wasaga Beach races in 1938. ( documented) I purchased this bike 5 years ago from the estate of an old friend who raced it in the 1930's.  This is an ongoing recommissioning project and is partially dismantled as I just had the cylinder rebored. The  rest of the  engine is in superb condition.  This may be the only one in North America and one of only a few world wide. Reluctant sale .  Overall very good condition with some judicious restoration work done. Rare original Bowden remote control steering damper. Correct TT Rep 8  gusset motor and verified correct fork and frame etc from factory blueprints.  Extra freshly rewound correct  ML racing magneto, correct Amal TT racing bronze carb with twin floats ( one float connection requires repair) plus a few  other valuable nos and used spares.  brake shoes relined. Petrol tank is incorrect but I have a reproduction shell and a pair of correct caps that need plating that goes with the bike. Or just use the tank that is on it now as it has great patina.  Perfect matching cases uncracked head etc. Lots of great club support. Call me for more details. 613-273-5036
This bike is identical to the Senior Isle of Man 1930 winning machines.
These bikes had forged flywheels and would rev over 8000 rpm. Combined with lightweight and massive coupled brakes they cleaned up in International racing in the early 1930's
Canadian buyers will be subject to sales tax.
No charge for building a proper shipping crate.
Bike will require a heritage export permit if it leaves Canada which will be taken care of no charge for this. I have done it many times before so know the drill.
since this has been a racing bike all it's life it only comes with a notarized bill of sale. There is no frame number visible, I have looked for one and can not find any evidence there ever was one which has also been reported on several other racing  Rudges I have read about.  Engine number is 42. Matching crankcase belly numbers.
Restore it or run it as is, your choice.  Rudges clean up in vintage racing everywhere.
I may change my mind at any moment so act fast if you want to secure this opportunity.  I will post more pictures or send them to you  on request . 613-273-5036   oldmill@kingston.net
