EICMA 2013: 2014 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 Revealed

MV Agusta opened the 2013 EICMA show with the official reveal of its new 2014 Turismo Veloce 800 adventure-styled sport-tourer. MV Agusta will produce two versions, the base model and the Lusso (Italian for “Luxury”) which adds panniers, heated grips, semi-active suspension and GPS navigation. Hot on the heels of the release of full specs for the F3 675 supersport, MV Agusta has unveiled the naked version featuring the same engine and MVICS electronics package and a claimed weight of 163 kg (359 pounds). The 2012 MV Agusta Brutale 675 is the smallest member of the Brutale line, but it’s also the most high-tech. The Brutale 675 gets the same ride-by-wire throttle control and traction control system as the new F3.

News from Varese, Italy, has MV Agusta making a return to racing, choosing the British Superbike Championship as the series where it will campaign two factory-backed entries. The British Superbike Championship (or BSB) is arguably the most exciting domestic series in the world. It implemented new rules for 2012 designed to keep costs manageable by limiting the modifications allowed, which has resulted in tight racing the whole year.
