Fri, 31 Jan 2014The wait is over: MV Agusta has finally released official specs for the much-rumored and hyped Brutale 800 Dragster. For starters, the name is in fact Brutale 800 Dragster (previous mentions have omitted “Brutale”), as the bike serves as an extension of the Brutale line, of which it shares many of its components. Also, any and all rumors about superchargers or turbos can be squashed right now as well — the Brutale 800 Dragster shares the same naturally-aspirated 798cc Triple as the standard Brutale 800.
Massimo Tamburini: 1943 – 2014
Mon, 07 Apr 2014Massimo Tamburini, creator of some of the industry’s most iconic motorcycle designs, has succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 70. Tamburini was diagnosed with the disease last November and underwent chemotherapy treatment but passed away April 6. Earning renown for designing motorcycles such as the Ducati 916 and the MV Agusta F4, Tamburini’s name will be forever linked with those two companies, as well as Cagiva and helped found Bimota (Tamburini is the “Ta” in the company’s name.) Wed, 17 Aug 2011MV Agusta President Claudio Castiglioni has died from illness at the age of 63. The former owner of Ducati and Cagiva succumbed to illness Aug. 17 in a clinic in Varese, Italy.
