Kymco Xciting description

2009 Kymco Xciting 500 Ri, Wow - A BRAND NEW SUPER SCOOTER - The new Xciting 500Ri delivers KYMCO quality and economy in an agressive sport styling. Its 500 cubic centimeter, electronic fuel injected, DOHC liquid-cooled engine delivers at highway speeds with plenty of passing power. KYMCO's popular CVT transmission provides stepless acceleration from a standing start all the way up to cruising speed. The 15-inch front and 14-inch rear tires, adjustable hydraulic rear shocks and telescopic front forks smooth out the bumps. A well-padded driver's seat (30.25-inch seat height) with adjustable backrest, four- position adjustable brake levers, and the aerodynamic, sport style windscreen all add up to an incredibly comfortable and safe ride.

It turns out that two-cylinder motorcycle engine will actually be provided to BMW by Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco.

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

Taiwan-based Kymco unveiled three new products earlier this month at the International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach, CA., including the Quannon 150. The air-cooled 149.3cc single-cylinder “sportbike” weighs 299 lbs and produces 14 hp allegedly allowing it to reach speeds of 72 mph. Speed is unlikely to be the main goal for beginners or commuters who purchase such a bike, but the claimed 70-75 mpg fuel efficiency will surely strike their fancy.
