For sale is a completely reconditioned 1983 Kawasaki KZ1100 LTD. I am the 2nd owner of this low mileage (18k), well maintained muscle bike. This is the last year of the vaunted Z1 platform. Everything has been gone through and all electrics work as they should. The bike has a four into 1 header and Ramair filters which were designed specifically for the 34mm Mikuni CV carbs, which have been restored and jetted appropriately. Chrome is flawless. Paint is original, with some sun fade on the top of the tank but looks great. Original owner misplaced the side covers but I was able to source out a set on ebay (rare and expensive)and sprayed them black. New battery and rubber. Petcock restored. Good brakes. Replaced the high US bars for Superbike bars (have the original)and the flashers for some slick mini turn signals.This sweet machine is smooth and very powerful and is a great, last example of a Kaw DUAL OVERHEAD CAM air-cooled liter bike. The header gives this bike a great subtle roar.Photos don't do it justice.Price is more then reasonable considering the bike and its condition. Clear TX title. Mon, 01 Jul 2013The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 — over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record —in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.

Mon, 14 May 2012BMW earned its first-ever World Superbike race win at the U.K.’s Donington Park, but missed out on sweeping the round after teammates Leon Haslam and Marco Melandri crashed on the final corner while battling for the lead in the second race. Melandri earned BMW its landmark first win in Race One leading Haslam in a one-two finish. They could have repeated that finish in Race Two but Haslam low-sided after making contact with Honda‘s Jonathon Rea trying to pass on the inside.
Keanu Reeves Starts Arch Motorcycle Company – Production to Begin in 2013
Fri, 05 Oct 2012Actor Keanu Reeves is getting into the motorcycle business, starting up the Arch Motorcycle Company with Gard Hollinger of L.A. County Choprods. The new company will build motorcycles based on the KR GT-1 prototype pictured above, with production set to begin in 2013.
