Kawasaki KZ900 description

1976 KAWASAKI KZ900

This is a mostly original KZ 900. The original exhaust was replaced years ago. The seat, paint, air box, etc remain as original. The paint is excellent. The bike appears to have been nicely maintained over its life. It belonged to and older man that used it as a touring bike. The bike ran excellent when parked. It has been in a climate controlled warehouse on display for several years. I assume it might need routine servicing and it will need a battery. It has been garaged all its life and it shows. This bike is it great overall condition and is one of the rare models of the big KZ’s. I am a collector of several Z1’s and KZ’s. This is a very nice bike that has been stored properly. Reserve price is $4,500.

Bike is sold, as is, no warranty. I have tried to show details of the condition of this bike in the photos.  If you still have questions please allow me time to check the information and take additional photos if needed.   All reasonable and/or relevant questions will be addressed and posted.

2014 AMA Supercross – Indianapolis Results

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Ryan Dungey captured his first win of the 2014 AMA Supercross season in a wild main event that saw two of the top title contenders crashing on the starting straight at Indianapolis‘ Lucas Oil Stadium. Smartop MotoConcepts Suzuki rider Mike Alessi took the holeshot for the second race in a row, but the big news was incoming points leader Ryan Villopoto and Ken Roczen going down before the first turn. Roczen trailed Villopoto by nine points going into the Indianapolis round, but the KTM rookie’s hopes of overtaking the reigning champion took a blow when he went down on the straight, knocking Villopoto off in the process.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

Recall for 2011 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT

Thu, 30 Jun 2011

Kawasaki is issuing a recall on the 2011 Vulcan Classic LT tourer due to a risk of damage to the tires’ inner tubes. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the inner tubes on some Kawasaki Vulcan Classic LT models may become pinched near the valve stem during mounting. In some cases, this may result in a loss of air pressure.
