Original Owner, All Original 1981 Kawasaki KZ550 LTD, with 6631 ORIGINAL MILES. The Bike starts and runs very well. It was in storage unused for over 10 years until I took it out this spring, and began to clean it up and restore it. The tank has been cleaned and lined, the fuel lines have been cleaned and purged, new plugs were installed, oil changed, and a new battery was installed. The bike starts right up, and runs well. If I had the time, I would repaint the tank, and put a new master cylinder on the bike, and it would be good for any trip, and many years to come. This bike is a classic, and is one of the original 4 stroke, (4 cylinder), bikes to be introduced into the mid sized, production market, and was ahead of it's time when introduced. It's still very much a classic, and looks it. The seat is in great condition, with no tears, or issues. I've included a close up of the tank that shows the rust coming through the paint, which is why I would suggest repainting the tank. Again, the interior of the tank was lined a few months ago to ensure the integrity of the tank and fuel lines. The Engine # is KZ550AE019571. Displacement is 553cc. 53HP at 8500 rpm. 2014 WSBK – Portimao Results
Mon, 07 Jul 2014Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.

The effort is part of referral program originally developed for automobile purchases. And now, after two successful years, Kawasaki and Costco are renewing their partnership.
