Kawasaki KLR description

2004 Kawasaki KLR650, Great bike! Come check it out! - Off-road or on, Kawasakis KLR650 motorcycle provides the ultimate in adventure at a superb value. Its no wonder that so many riders have chosen this dual-purpose bike for lengthy transcontinental rides. Designed with both street and dirt riding in mind, the large-displacement KLR more than meets adventure-touring requirements, thanks to an engine that cruises comfortably at highway speeds, an ample and comfortably padded seat for extended saddle time, a large 6.1-gallon fuel tank, handguards, and a mini fairing to help block the wind. The KLRs get-up-and-go comes courtesy of a strong, dual overhead cam, four-valve liquid-cooled 651cc engine. The motor provides a wide range of power equally suitable for negotiating low-speed trails and cruising at a more brisk highway pace. An engine crankshaft counterbalancer and electric starter provide additional rider comfort and convenience.

Hopkins’ once very promising racing career has been hampered by both a series of bad luck and injury. It seems so long ago that Hopkins finished fourth overall in the 2007 MotoGP Championship with Suzuki.

ZX-10R inspired by JPS Lotus?

Tue, 10 Jul 2012

Spotted on Kawasaki's Facebook page, this 'Limited Edition' ZX-10R has been created by none other than double-F1 World Champ Emerson Fittipaldi, who is - amongst other things - a Kawasaki dealer in Brazil and who also happened to win his first World Championship in 1972 in a JPS Lotus that had a very similar colour scheme. Fittipaldi started his motorsport career on a motorcycle, aged just 14, before heading to hydrofoils (surely no-one else at world level has ever raced these?!) and then the more traditional route of karting. Question is: what do you think to the paintjob?
