KTM SX description

For Sale is a mint condition 2013 KTM SX 450. I am the sole owner. I purchased brand new in 2013 at the age of 45. I am a lifelong Quad guy. I thought I would try riding 2 wheels and get ready to race the FTR Hare Scramble Series. I found out I am not very good on 2 wheels. I rode the bike a total of 5 times at the Ocala National Forest Trails to prepare for the season. Bike has never been raced. Bike has never even hit 5th gear. As you can see the bike is in mint condition. No scratches, No issues.  Bike runs perfect. Changed oil 2 times with Full Synthetic Oil. Has a GPR4 steering stabalizer ($500) , Full Yoshimura Exhaust ($1000), and many extra accessories from KTM and Tusk Performance. I do not ride the bike. I am back on 4 wheels. I hate to see it sitting in garage not being used. Not desperate to sell so do not send weak offers. Brand new bike will cost over $10,000. This bike is better than new at a great price.

KTM 690 Duke Replaces Kawasaki Ninja 250R for WSBK’s 2012 European Junior Cup

Fri, 20 Jan 2012

The World Superbike Championship‘s European Junior Cup youth racing series will switch to race-prepped KTM 690 Duke motorcycles for 2012 from the Kawasaki Ninja 250R racebikes used in its inaugural 2011 season. The rebranded KTM European Junior Cup will be open to riders 14-19 and will be held at eight WSBK rounds in 2012. The series was conceived as an entry point for young racers, providing them opportunities to develop their skills before moving up to higher classes such as the World Superstock Championship and beyond.

KTM Developing 500cc and 800cc Twins

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

After setting a new company record for motorcycle sales on the back of small displacement models like the Duke line (like the 390 Duke pictured above), KTM is turning its attention to mid-sized models. Speaking with Overdrive.in at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, KTM Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pierer says the company has 500cc and 800cc parallel Twin engines in development, with new models expected to enter production within three years. The new mid-sized models will be produced in India for the Indian market to avoid the country’s stringent import duties.
