I have a 2001 KTM MXC 250 that is 100% street legal. Starts 1st kick! I bought it from a friend who took good care of it and i strictly pre-owned it for road use a few times before winter hit. I recently bought an R6 so now that is the street bike so i have no need ofr this one.It has a few upgrades such as a skid plate, bark busters, FMF pipe, renthal bars, oversized desert tank, road tires, and custom LED headlamp. It does have a rear tailight/brake light, signals, and license plate bracket. It starts 1st kick and warms up quickly, runs excellent! No problems that I know of. The rear fender has a few scratches but nothing serious, decently clean bike.I am asking $2200 O.B.O so dont hesitate with offers. May also be interested in trades as well. Other bikes, cars, trucks, etc. This bike is just sitting in the garage now so please come take it where it can be pre-owned. Call/txt me at. US-Spec 2014 KTM Off-Road Models Revealed
Thu, 23 May 2013A couple of weeks ago, we wrote about KTM‘s 2014 off-road lineup for Europe highlighted by an updated 250 EXC-F and other updates across the model lineup. KTM has now released information about its U.S.-spec models which include the same updates while keeping some differences from the European versions. For off-road riders in the U.S., KTM is offering the street-legal four-stroke 350 EXC-F and 500 EXC and their solely off-road XCF-W and XC-W, the four-stroke 250 XCF-W and the two-stroke 200, 250, 300 and 450 XC-W models.
Day 11 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins, Extends Overall Lead
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Day 11 marked the longest stage to date of the Dakar Rally, as the competitors tackled the 605km (376 miles) special stage, covering a variety of terrain, hard ground, mountains, plus 120km (75 miles) of sand and dunes in the Copiapo area. Despite this, and a fall at the beginning of the stage, Marc Coma again demonstrated his status as boss of the Dakar 2014, by picking up his third victory of the year, further reinforcing his position at the top of the general standings. Five-time Dakar winner Cyril Depres opened the piste for 400km before dropping slightly to finish just 02:31 behind Marc Coma in first.
KTM Issues Fuel Hose Recall on 7000 Motorcycles
Mon, 05 Nov 2012KTM is issuing a worldwide recall on approximately 7000 motorcycles from model year 2012 and 2013 for potential fuel hose leaks. The recall affects certain EXC, EXC-F, XC-F, XC-W, XCF-W, Freeride, SX-F, and Supermoto R models with electronic fuel injection. (See after the jump for specific models included in the recall.) According to KTM, a defect in the manufacturing process of the molded fuel hoses on affected models may lead to a fuel leak either at the ends or where the hoses bend.
