KTM EXC description
Up for auction is my KTM 450 EXC-R Dual sport that I bought brand new in 08. This bike has been meticulously maintained and lots of extras have been added.I have always run synthetic fluids and changed them very often. In 08 there was a problem with the cam h decompression lever making it hard to start, KTM replaced the cam with a brand new one and she starts right up. I also have been running race gas or AVgas so I don't have to deal with the problems associated with ethanol fuels. No expense has been spared on this bike. I like nice stuff and take care of it as well. This is a true off road dirt bike that is street legal. The odometer reads 3384 and the bike has 143.6 hours on it. It has been a mix of on and off road use, I would guess it's about 50/50. It has a few trips to Hatfield McCoy and done a couple of dual sport rides. I have selling it as it has been sitting since I bought my 2012 KTM 300XC.

Thu, 27 Feb 2014Pull open any manufacturer’s gifts and accessories catalog and you’ll usually find the same kind of officially-branded items like key chains, beer mugs and iPhone cases. Most manufacturers offer similar items, with only the colors and logos to differentiate them. Once in a while however, manufacturers offer something that truly stands out.

Behind the scenes on a photoshoot
Fri, 02 Jul 2010If you read motorcycle magazines - and even road tests on polished websites like this one (!) - you'll be used to seeing pictures of bike journos hamming it up for the camera. Yes they look slick as they kiss another apex, crest another rise with the front wheel pawing the air (those clichés are TM BIKE magazine by the way). But you don't often get to see anything 'behind the scenes'.
