KTM Adventure description

KTM 640 LC4. Adventure.Year 2002 with less than 1500 (one thousand five hundred) miles. In mint condition with very good tires and properly maintained. I rarely use  the KTM but enjoy  tremendously the high quality of this Austrian machine. You can see on the pictures the exact mileage, that there are no scratches anywhere and some  small black burn marks from a melted plastic bag on the top section of the exhaust pipe. Please note that this bike is a one cylinder water cooled and is easily started with the kick start with or without having to use the compression release valve switch. I have some  literature and manual for the 640 (2003) as well. Clear title. This bike has never been used off-road, dropped or hurt. You will have to make the arrangements for shipping. Please email should you have any question.

Fri, 03 Jun 2011

KTM announced it will return to Grand Prix road racing in 2012 with a new racebike for the new 250cc four-stroke Moto3 class. The Austrian manufacturer discontinued its Grand Prix road racing program in 2009, withdrawing from the 125cc class (pictured above is current Moto2 racer Marc Marquez racing for the KTM factory team in the 2009 125cc class). With the Moto3 class set to replace the 125cc class in 2012, KTM will return with a new racebike.

KTM to Enter Supersport Category

Mon, 20 Oct 2008

As the off-road market continues its tailspin, Austria’s KTM is hedging its bets with a continued surge in its street motorcycle category. Its on-road push began with the liter-size V-Twins in the Adventure, Super Duke, and Supermoto bikes, followed most recently by the RC8 superbike. Now we hear word that the Austrian manufacturer will soon enter the supersport class.
