I am selling a 1947 Indian Chief motorcycle. This bike has won First Place in local bike shows in the Antique Category. It is truly a one of a kind. Everything you see in the pictures is included such as extra fenders and two gas tanks. It is a beautiful bike and 75 percent original. Has not been driven or started for 8 years and there are less than 500 miles on the rebuilt 74 cubic inch engine. Included with the sale are other spare parts such as a horn, chrome fender inserts, assorted nuts and bolts, date specific manual and other manuals and a few quarts of oil. The storied Indian Motorcycles brand will enter a new era this August at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally with the debut of the 2014 Indian Chief. Powered by the all-new Thunder Stroke 111 engine, the new Chief will be the first new Indian motorcycle introduced after the company was acquired by Polaris Industries in 2011. To prepare for the launch, Polaris has released a new image and video of the new Chief, and announced it will be available in North American dealerships later this year with prices starting at $18,999.

The apparatus with a 60-degree camber of the cylinder block can hardly be called the “little brother” of the 1811cc Thunder Stroke 111 engine - its capacity is 1769cc, but in terms of design solutions, the motors are fundamentally different. Let's start with the fact that, according to the manufacturer, the new engine is the most powerful in its class - it develops 121hp at 5500rpm and 178 Nm at 3800 rpm. PowerPlus, like the Scout motor, has an overhead camshaft, is equipped with four valves per cylinder and hydraulic compensators, eliminating the need to adjust clearances, the cooling is liquid.

Indian Motorcycle has unveiled the latest addition to its cruiser line-up. The Springfield is built on the new Chief platform with an 1811cc Thunder Stroke 111 V-twin. The bike can be easily converted from a touring to city cruiser.
