About us: HEINEN's started in 1899 by John Heinen (yes 113+ years ago!) as a farm implement store. Slowly turning to motorsports in the late 60's as a fun way to excape farming. In the 90's, the twincities metro over took our little farm town and turned us into a large suburb just 10 miles northwest of Minneapolis. Proudly owned and operated by the great grandson of John Heinen!
What turns a commute into a journey? What turns a drive
into a trek? Challenge your perspectives from the seat of Husqvarna’s all-new
TR650. The road becomes your “Terra-tory;” and your destination becomes
superfluous. It’s about the ride.
Practicality meets passion with Husqvarna’s all-new TR650 Terra. The
seven-day-a-week motorcycle is capable of being both urban commuter and weekend
trekker. The dirt-road - Terra - features a 652 cc single-cylinder DOHC motor
based on BMW’s venerable G 650 GS engine. A modified EFI system, redesigned
cams, higher compression and revised piston and cylinder head increase the power
output, allowing the TR650 to boast 58 horsepower while still offering excellent
fuel capacity of over 55 mpg.

To celebrate its 110th birthday this year, Husqvarna is offering no less than ten different North American models including two-strokes and four-strokes and sizes ranging from 85cc to 501cc. Several of Husqvarna’s innovations can be found on the 2014 machines – most notably the polyamide rear subframe. Housing the airbox and electronics of each model, the high-tech composite construction of the polyamide subframe is designed to offer optimum rigidity while also allowing more flex than a traditional aluminum structure (polyamide will bend back into place unlike aluminum). The innovative subframe is applied to every new Husqvarna – even the TCs which marks the first time a composite rear subframe has been offered on a production two-stroke motocrosser.
Each model in the 2014 line also utilizes WP front suspension mounted by Husqvarna’s distinctive CNC-machined black triple clamps.
Effective immediately, Husqvarna Motorcycles has named 39 year-old, Robert Jonas as Head of Motorsport. He will be responsible for all of Husqvarna’s racing activities, including Motocross, Enduro, Extreme Enduro, and Moto3 road racing programs. As a former motocross racer Robert Jonas has been involved in motorcycle racing for much of his life.
The 2012 Husqvarna Nuda 900R made its public debut in Frankfurt, Germany, in the courtyard outside BMW’s display hall. Displayed together with other Husqvarna models as well as motorcycles from parent company BMW. The display bikes were all anchored firmly to their stands and test rides were not available but I did get some seat time on the Nuda.
