1984 VF 500 First year and First generation 500 interceptor. This little jewel just happens to be frame number "18"... That's right the 18th 500 Interceptor ever built... Not only that, but according to the Honda Micro Fiche this is the very first vf500 imported into the USA... These little baby interceptors have developed quite a cult following... probably the best of the first-generation interceptors... This beautiful little bike was owned by a motorcycle industry journalist from brand-new... It has been meticulously well-maintained and is in absolutely bone stock museum quality condition... It even has the stock grips, stock turnsignals, bodywork, and stock mirrors still on it... Almost impossible to find them in this nice of condition... this bike runs fantastic... 2013 AMA Supercross Houston Race Report
Mon, 08 Apr 2013Ryan Villopoto captured his fifth-consecutive AMA Supercross win and sixth in seven rounds with a victory in the main event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider passed holeshot-taker Mike Alessi on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for the win. Alessi, riding the Motoconcepts Racing Suzuki RM-Z450, remained in the hunt for the first few laps but soon gave way to a group including Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard, Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart.
Mopar to Sponsor Canadian Superbike Championship
Mon, 12 Dec 2011Chrysler’s parts and accessories brand Mopar has signed on to be the title sponsor for the 2012 Canadian Superbike Championship. Mopar replaces Parts Canada which recently ended a 22-year partnership with CSBK over controversial comments made by the series organizer on an Internet forum. The seven-round CSBK series includes separate pro and amateur Superbike and Sportbike classes, as well as a Harley-Davidson XR1200 Cup and a new spec series for young riders featuring the Honda CBR250R.
Yamaha Planning Sub-$500 Model to Undercut Honda Dream Yuga
Fri, 25 May 2012Not long after Honda launched its ultra low-cost Dream Yuga in India, Yamaha announced it is considering a new own model that will be nearly 40% cheaper. The 109cc Dream Yuga is Honda‘s latest weapon in the battle for India’s 13-million unit per year motorcycle market. Priced at 44,642 Indian rupees (US$806), the Dream Yuga is the most affordable Honda model available in India.
