Honda SL100 description

This 1971 Honda SL100 "barn find" was completely restored to its current condition leaving behind the original patina, scratches, stains, etc. This SL100 starts in 1-2 kicks, runs perfectly, and looks beautiful just sitting on a stand or riding down the road. With the exception of the chrome muffler guard, this SL100 is completely original and has only 4574 original miles on the odometer.

After I acquired this bike, I went through all of the pains and cost of obtaining the CHP VIN verification, and DMV registration and title processes. The bike is currently registered through May 2017 and I was able to retain the original license plate. I have the clean title in hand.

Restoration items:

- New tires and tube
- New DID chain
- New fork dust covers
- Complete tank cleaning
- Carb rebuilt
- All chrome work clean of dirt and surface rust
- New kick starter rubber
- NOS chrome muffler shield
- Muffler cleaned, sanded and painted flat black using VHT exhaust paint
- Painstakingly clean from front to rear, top to bottom.

If you're looking to cruise around on a vintage motorcycle or are looking for a vintage bike to restore into a "show pony"......this is a bike worth looking at.

For an additional $150, seller will deliver the motorcycle to the Sacramento, San Francisco Bay area, Reno and Medford, OR areas.  Shipping to all other areas will be the responsibility of the buyer.  Free local pickup is available to all buyers.

Thank you.

2014 WSBK – Assen Results

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.

Motorcycle Results From The 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 — over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record —in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.

Tracy has six class victories in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, winning in 1996, 1999, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. His victories have come riding motorcycles from several manufacturers: Honda, Yamaha, BMW and, more recently, Ducati.
