A Lap of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course with John McGuinness – Video

The Isle of Man TT is a very special event. Once the most prestigious motorcycle event in the world, the TT requires a certain type of character to ride superbikes at an average speed of over 130 mph through the quaint villages and over the rolling hills of the 37.73-mile Mountain Course. 2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. Onboard video footage doesn't get a lot better than this: Joey Dunlop during practice at the TT in 1983 onboard a factory Honda RS850R. An 859cc ultra-short stroke V4 Honda that Joey mastered around The Island, later winning the TT Formula 1. Although the 'production' race, the RS850R stretched that to the limit.
