EICMA 2013: Returning 2014 Honda Models Announced
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Along with an all-new CTX1300 and CBR1000RR SP announced at the 2013 EICMA show, Honda announced several more models returning for 2014 with some minor updates and new color options. Several of these models, such as the 500 series and the Gold Wing F6B were only introduced last year, so they receive just a palette update, while other models like the NC700X return with minor tweaks. Mon, 29 Apr 2013Monster Energy Kawasaki racer Ryan Villopoto demonstrated once again he is a the top of his sport, clinching his third-consecutive AMA Supercross championship. Villopoto cemented his title with a win in front of 43,149 fans at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, his ninth main event victory of the season and 33rd in his career. Though he led every lap, Villopoto didn’t have as easy a time in Salt Lake City as he has had in some races this season.
Marco Simoncelli tribute CBR1000RR
Mon, 16 Jul 2012At Mugello Honda graciously gifted Simoncelli's father Paolo with Marco's RC212V race bike from last season, along with this tribute-livery Honda CBR1000RR in his honour and memory.Unveiled in a special and emotional ceremony the Fireblade was designed by Aldo Drudi and was inspired by the memorable Super-Sic colours. The bike will be auctioned off on eBay to raise money for the Marco Simoncelli Foundation. Mugello marked the first Italian round since Simoncelli was tragically killed at Sepang last year.
