Honda Other description

02 VFR800 two owner bike. Previously owned by the wife of the Honda dealership guy up in Indy.Highlights:-800cc V4 engine. Exactly half of a V8, sounds like a V8, rumbles like a V8 through the 2 Brothers carbon fiber VALE slip on and midpipe. It has VTEC!!! Under 7k RPM it runs 2 valves per cylinder for better swirl and more torque then above 7k RPM it opens the other 2 valves to let the motor breathe - completely changes the sound and power characteristics. The power kick is so HARD it'll take you from six to midnight and lift the front wheel.-More torque through the low revs than a liter bike. Definitely more than your skinny jeans can handle. So much low torque that you'll blow 600's out of the water and easily pace liter bikes until they get to 13k RPM-Torque means riding this around town isn't a giant pain. You can shift between three and 4k RPM's-Repsol fairings are brand new, not a scratch on them. Less than 50mis on the bike since they were put on.-Custom projector true Bi-Xenon HID system, dual sided bi-xenon HID's through true Morimoto projector lenses. Cost about $400, but the projectors take the light output and put it on the road and not all over the sky like a normal ghetto rigged (and illegal) HID retrofits. The cut-off line is sharp as a knife and has the beautiful rainbow flash from the other side-35k miles, but it has been religiously maintained. Oil changes every 2k miles with T6 full synthetic oil. Oil filter changes every 4k miles. This bike is super cheap to maintain. Less than four quarts of oil and it uses the same oil filter as a Honda Civic. I use a Bosch extended length oil filter that is an inch longer than the stock piece.-Single sided swingarm. Pop that rear rim and tire off in about two minutes flat while you use your amazing centerstand for oil changes and rear tire changes.-New clutch plates-It has the upgraded Honda OEM front clear/smoked turn signals from a 2005+ model years. They look amazing compared to the old yellow ones. I have the old ones too, can throw them in in case you want to convert back.-Brand new thermostat this spring-It's had the whole engine compartment massively cleaned up. The crankcase rebreather system was tee'd off into breathers, the Secondary Air Injection system was deleted with block off plates. Other than that the bike is 100% stock and hasn't been modified in any way.-Solo seat cover-Yes I have the matching Repsol front fender. I'll get around to putting it on.-Yes that is a massive P205 UHP Michelin car tire on the rear. It rides like a beast and lasts 25k miles. Totally amazing. I have a Michelin Pilot Road three rear (motorcycle) tire that will come with it.-Stored INDOORS.It'll need an oil change in 1200mis. In 3200mis it will need a $12 Bosch oil filter. I would recommend continuing with T6 Full Synthetic oil. It's only 22 bucks for four quarts and is wet clutch safe. Chain could use changing. It's getting to the end of its service life. Front tire is probably only good for the rest of the season.Yes I have a clear title. No test drives period.NO phone offers or hagglers. No credible offer refused once you see and hear the bike. Call or text 574.527.XXXX. I'm busy so don't waste my time unless you are serious. You won't be sitting on it or riding it until I've signed over the title, so don't bother if you think you're going to joy ride. trades for BMW three series (2001-2005, no high mileage, needs work is OK), or a BMW Z3 (2.8L engine only), or a Ferrari if you're a cool guy like that. Would also consider trades for a dual sport plus cash (XR400R, XR650R, 2009+ WR250R only

The LCR Honda announced Stefan Bradl has signed a one-year contract extension with Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) that will see the German rider return with the team for the 2014 MotoGP season. Bradl won the 2012 MotoGP Rookie of the Year award with the LCR Honda squad and currently sits sixth in the 2013 championship standings after earning his first career MotoGP-class podium with a second-place result at Laguna Seca. The 2011 Moto2 champion will continue to receive factory support from HRC while racing for Lucio Cecchinello’s LCR squad.

And it's goodbye from him

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

THIS IS Valentino Rossi's farewell letter to his Fiat Yamaha team following the announcement the flambouyant Italian is to head to Ducati MotoGP in 2011.The hand-written letter, mistakes and all, is written in almost a 'my first romance' kinda way. It's touching, if a little bizarre. Some of the letter reads:“Unfortunately even the most beautiful love stories finish, but they leave a lot of wonderful memories, like when my M1 and I kissed for the first time on the grass at Welkom, when she looked straight in my eyes and told me ‘I love you!'"Somehow, we can't see Casey Stoner gushing quite as freely when he leaves Ducati for Repsol Honda.
