Bike Description:
The bike comes with a clean title and a key that operates the helmet lock, gas cap, and ignition.  If you are not familiar with this bike, it is the A version which means Automatic (check out the section from wikipedia pasted below for more details on this unique transmission).   The bike was purchased last weekend at a local auction.  At the auction preview they got the bike to run by hooking the the bike up to a shop battery and spraying carb cleaner into the carb.... the bike has no battery and will obviously need a tune up as the bike hasn't been on the road for a long time.  The bike does have compression (based off kicking the kicker arm) and the transmission seems to be engaging.  The bike has good and bad features.  The paint is in good shape... some minor scratches but nothing major.  The bike has rust but nothing is rotted.  The exhaust pipes have rust but nothing is rotted, no holes, and the baffles are in good shape.  The tires have cracks but the rims are in good shape.  The seat is in good shape with no holes or tears.  There are no cracks in the glass or plastic of the mirrors, gages, headlamp, front and rear turn signals, and rear taillight.  The bike needs some TLC, its being described as a project bike, but I have no doubt it will be on the road again.  We've taken lots of photos of the bike so you'll have a good idea of what you are bidding on.  Feel free to ask any questions.

From Wikipedia:
The CM450A was a motorcycle made by Honda in 1982 and 1983. It was based on the CB400 and CM400 models (1978-1981), especially the CM400A Hondamatic (1980-1981). It had a 447cc SOHC parallel twin engine with two carburettors and a 2-speed transmission with a torque converter. It was not a full automatic, however, because the rider had to manually shift between low and high. It is called automatic because there is no clutch required due to the torque converter, and shared the Hondamatic trade name with Honda cars that had true automatic transmissions. The chain-driven CM450A had a top speed of 90 miles per hour (140 km/h) and weighed 413 pounds (187 kg).[1] Both models had a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. The suspension consisted of two shocks in the rear and telescoping shock-absorbing front forks. The gas tank had a 3.4 US gallons (13 l; 2.8 imp gal) capacity. The exhaust was routed through a separate pipe and baffle on each side of the motorcycle, although both exhaust pipes shared a plenum under the motor. It had an electric start with a kick start as well.
