Honda Mini Trail 50 Z50A description

These Mini Trails are HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER BY COLLECTORS! Several in this condition have recently sold on ebay for OVER $1600 and restored ones sell for $5,000 AND UP! Perfect chance to get a good one for your collection without going broke.

1970 Honda Z50A Mini Trail 50 Motorcycle Trail Bike BARN FIND! This TIME CAPSULE was just taken out of nearly 40 years of storage! It was put away in running condition and forgotten since the late 70's. Bought from the original owner (who is still a neighbor) when it was almost new however, we can not find the title and I dont know if it ever came with one but I will provide a bill of sale and will also sign anything you need to get a replacement title from NJDMV including a sworn / signed affidavit from a lawyer if needed.

Has been stored in the garage all this time as it was literally buried under a pile of tools and equipment. Pix were just taken yesterday when it was uncovered for the first time since it was put into storage. It was run dry when put away and I just put in some fresh fuel and it started on the 3rd kick! I took it for a few laps around my property and it RUNS PERFECTLY!  I can provide video clips of it running if you contact me.

The seat cover wore out but everything else is ORIGINAL from 1970 and in EXCELLENT condition for its age. Even the tires are ORIGINAL and still hold air! Really needs to be freshened up, not restored, to look great. I could easily take a few hours to do just that, but since you may want it preserved as-is I'll let you decide what you want to do with it.

The owner of this passed away at a very young age which is why it has been in storage for all this time. As you can expect, the family has a lot of sentimental and emotional ties to this and its taken about 10 years of "thinking about selling" it to get to this point. We are the second owner and this has NEVER been up for sale before. Everyone's main concern is that it goes to a good home where it will be cared for and used by someone who truly appreciates it. Its not about the money because we want to deal with the end collector and not flippers. That said, the price is SOMEWHAT NEGOTIABLE for the RIGHT person. So, if you are really interested give me a call, come check it out and lets make a deal.

I am selling this small collection of VINTAGE bikes:

Day 1 Dakar 2014: Barreda Draws First Blood

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.

Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?

Thu, 05 May 2011

Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.

Using technology derived from the ASIMO bi-pedal humanoid robot, Honda has developed a new personal mobility concept called the U3-X. If this proves successful, owners may never have to walk again. Check out a video of the U3-X in action below the jump.
