1977 HONDA CT90.  450 miles + or - a few.  Very nice

shape.  Has a couple scrapes and bruises from 35 years

of storage.  Runs great.  Blinkers work.  Brakes are good.

Front tire is original.  Has some cracks in it.  Did not want to

change it, so you can see it is original miles also.  New battery.  High low range.  Just serviced by the Honda Dealer.

Clean check up.  Ready to ride or restore.  No (zero) 0

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.

With the two test riders coming forward to act as replacement riders for the injured Rossi and Aoyama, it brought back memories of the days when the grid would be gifted with wildcard riders from the respective countries. The Japanese rounds were always attended by some of the top guys with experience of the 500GP and MotoGP bikes, through racing them in their domestic championships. What resulted was getting to witness the exciting and talented Japanese riders, and bring new riders to the attention of the teams.

According to Honda's Australian YouTube channel the child riding the Honda CRF50F in this ad is following in his dad's footsteps, as he also rode a Funbike as a child. In the very same back yard that was used for the shoot. After seeing the film crew in action, the child's grandmother announced she had old Super8 footage from 30 years ago which was subsequently used for the opening scene.
