2014 Honda CTX700, 2014 Honda CTX700 Tomorrow s Touring Twin Talk about a bike that can do it all: Honda s new 2014 CTX700 is your new dream machine. Part of our new CTX series, the CTX700 offers the comfort and weather protection of a full fairing, as well as a laid-back riding position with more forward-set hand controls and footpegs. A full range of Honda Genuine Accessories lets you set it up with saddlebags, backrests, and just about any other touring- or comfort-related feature you could ever want. Best of all, you can get the new CTX700 in two versions: one with our conventional six-speed manual transmission, and one equipped with our unique automatic transmission, the revolutionary Honda Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). A Great Lineup Just Gets Better Our CTX series is a perfect example of Honda innovating and moving forward when everyone else is standing still. These superior machines offer the technology and features that modern riders want and need, and do it all at a price nobody can match. Add that to Honda s reputation for quality and durability, and the CTX700N is a machine you can count on for thousands of fun, trouble-free miles. Incredible Technology, Incredible Value The CTX700 offers an automatic transmission and ABS version at a low $8,799 base MSRP*. With the DCT automatic transmission, you can shift with the push of a handlebar-mounted button, or select the automatic mode and the bike will shift itself. Plus, you get Anti-Lock Brakes for improved stopping in less than ideal conditions. Comfortable Cruising With its relaxed riding position, the new CTX700 allows you to settle down into the bike a bit more, and get to stretch out more, too. The up-front pegs and low seat make it easy to put your feet down at stoplights, too. Your Power Partner The CTX700 s 670cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine produces tons of torque and enough power for easy two-up touring. Honda twins are famous for their wide powerbands and fuel efficiency, and this new engine is one of our best. Convenient Storage We want the new CTX700 to be a bike you ll want to ride every day, not just on weekends. That s why we went out of our way to design in user-friendly features like the integrated storage perfect for items you need to access fast. Full-Fairing Comfort With its new full-coverage fairing and windscreen, the CTX700 lets you enjoy long trips in comfort. But that fairing is a great choice for commuters on chilly mornings too this is a bike that can really do it all.

McGuinness Tests Mugen Shinden Electric Race Bike

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Isle of Man TT veteran John McGuinness recently got a chance to test the new Mugen Shinden electric rice bike to prepare for the 2012 TT Zero. The test took place at the Twin Ring Motegi in Japan, a world-class racing circuit but perhaps not-coincidentally, a track built and owned by Honda, further fueling the belief the Mugen effort is a front for the Japanese manufacturer. The Honda-contracted McGuinness put the Shinden through its first big test, helping the Mugen team gather data on the electric racer.

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

James Stewart‘s hot streak continues with his second-consecutive win and fourth AMA Supercross podium in five weeks after an impressive effort at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Fresh off of signing a contract extension with Yoshimura Suzuki, Stewart took control of the Arlington main event on the third lap, passing holeshot-taker Ryan Dungey and running away with the win. With his win last week at San Diego, Stewart becomes the first rider to win back-to-back races this season and establishes himself as a championship contender as we approach the mid-way point of the 2014 season.
